Here is my DIGITAL HOMETHEATRE SOUND SYSTEM I BUILT FROM SCRATCH.
It runs off Bi-interleaved fly back SMPS with carefully optimized EMI/EMC regulation. It has the potential to drive up to 8 subwoofers at a time at an output power of 100w each.
It is built not with a class-D amp topology, but with transistorized class-AB type with a 3 watt cooling fan to run the transistors cool.
The remote section was programmed using QUADRILATERAL 16-BIT CMOS MICROCONTROLLER for the control of the overall digital network and its display unit, it equally flash my LOGO at a frequency of 1.5Hz.
It has inbuilt over/under-voltage sensor for dislodging the SMPS off the rail in case of any potential fluctuation.
It has auxiliary input for syncing with DVDs because it has no Compact Disc, but can play music off your Memory card through a card reader or cellphone.
It also have digitized FM RADIO with loop antenna.
It can charge your cellphone while you play music.
Actually, this complex project is still under construction. Few add-ons are remaining. Like music level meter and digitized equalizer.
The whole system sounds awesome. It can rock your environment with ultra-high definition mega bass.
When driving two sonodyne speakers at voltage level of 10 calibrations(~few decibels), i could feel an object on my table falling off the surface.
It's amazingly powerful even though the system is housed in a small DVD case.
